Dads, daughters dance the night away

Before heading to the Little Elementary father-daughter dance on Feb. 24, Chris Woodruff took his daughter out to a special dinner.

“It's not many times in your life you can have a date with your daughter,” Woodruff said while taking a break from the dance floor.

He and his daughter, London, a third-grader at Little, were two of the attendees to the dance, which is sponsored annually by the school's Parent Teacher Student Association with the assistance of Pomona High School National Honor Society student volunteers.

“It's just a fun event,” said organizer Betsy Moran, adding that students are encouraged to attend with any special adult in their life.

Throughout the year, the PTSA puts on events such as movie nights, a trunk-or-treat and end-of-year celebration.
