Now that summer is coming to a close, it's time for Back to School events! On September 22nd, from 10-3 pm, the 1898 Hilltop Schoolhouse will open its doors to its neighbors near and far for some free, family, old-fashioned fun!
Each fall, the Hilltop Club hosts an open house to educate our community about the days when Hilltop was a thriving railroad stop about halfway between Parker and Elizabeth. The historic one-room schoolhouse will be filled with interactive games and activities from the early 1900's and with Hilltop history displays. For example, see how you do on a 1933 fifth grade arithmetic test! Also, light refreshments will be available.
Take time to stop in at the schoolhouse, where Hilltop residents have been gathering for 120 years, to learn about your home's colorful Colorado history!
