Man dead after officer involved shooting in east Arvada in response to auto theft

A suspect is dead, and two Arvada Police officers are on administrative leave after an officer-involved shooting transpired around 1 a.m. in the 5500 block of Newland Way on Jan. 12 following a reported auto theft.
