A Confluence Beastiary

You are invited to join us on Sunday May 5th for A Confluence Beastiary, an entertaining collection of songs about animals real and imaginary, historic and fabled. The concert centerpiece will be Benjamin Britten’s cantata Rejoice in the Lamb, featuring the typical household animals--cats and rats--in a not-so-typical musical setting. From there we sing about more critters of the alphabet, including snakes, tygers, panthers, fireflies and eels (think Shakespeare, William Blake, and Ogden Nash). And no beastiary is complete without a tribute to that most elusive of all animals, the unicorn.
