UPDATE:  Suspect Michael Kulhow was apprehended by the Arvada Police Department  on Monday, March 8 on the 8400 block of Chase St.

In the early evening of last Saturday, March 6, the Arvada Police Department received a call about a stabbing at a residence in the 8400 block of Chase St.

Michael Kuhlow age 33 is suspected in the assault.

The victims were transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The male victim died at the hospital. A female victim is in critical condition. The third male victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Arvada police searched the area, using K-9 teams and "APD drone operations" according to the department. However the suspect was not located.

As of March 8, Arvada Police Department reports that Kuhlow was still at large. Department spokesman Dave Snelling said that police were obtaining a search warrant for an additional location to search for him, and hoped to have him in custody soon.

"We can’t predict what he’s going to do but so far this case is only about family members," Snelling said.

Still, Snelling cautioned not to approach the suspect, but to to call 911 immediately if he is spotted.

The suspect Michael Kuhlow is 33 years old, a white male, 5’7’’ tall, 170 pounds, last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray coat.

Kuhlow has a lengthy arrest record that includes multiple drug-related offenses and, more recently, charges for harassment and domestic violence.
