Douglas County teenager who had been reported missing is located

Posted

A teenager from Douglas County who was reported missing more than a week ago has been located, according to the Denver Police Department.

Whitney Lulloff, 16,  was found safe, a Jan. 12 news release from the police department said. Lulloff was reported missing on Jan. 4 after having last been seen exiting a plane at Denver International Airport.

"She is with a known acquaintance outside of the Denver metro area," the Jan. 12 DPD release said. "The circumstances do not support any cause for concern of human trafficking or her safety."

Law enforcement was working to reunite the teen with her family, according to the news release.

Before being reported missing, Lulloff arrived at DIA on a flight from Phoenix, according to a missing person bulletin posted on Twitter by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The teen did not contact her family upon arrival — unusual behavior for her — according to the Jan. 7 bulletin.
