Cruising is the ultimate way to showcase that special car.
Dating back to the ‘50s and ‘60s, cruising was an important rite of passage for those just getting their driver's license, as well as a convenient way to socialize.
Colorado’s biggest annual car cruise, the Golden Super Cruise, returned May 7 to the delight of onlookers of all ages.
From 5 to 8:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month, May through October, South Golden Road is magically transformed into a giant moving car show, featuring hot rods, classic cars and customized vehicles of all make and vintages.
According to www.goldensupercruise.com the event’s official webpage, the preferred route begins on South Golden Road, turns left at 19th Street and Ford, turns right at Washington Avenue, comes down to 10th, and then loops back to Washington Avenue or South Golden Road.
The event is free.
Upcoming cruise dates are June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3 and October 1.
