According to a Lakewood Police press release, an unidentified adult male died from injuries received in a car crash involving suspects fleeing the location of a robbery Dec. 4 2020.
Lakewood Police were dispatched to the Ulta Beauty store located at 489 S. Wadsworth Blvd. after a report of a robbery in progress. Several suspects fled the scene in a red Mitsubishi Galant as officers arrived.
The suspects, driving at a high rate of speed, crashed into a silver Honda Civic near the intersection of 1st and Harlan in Lakewood. The driver of the Mitsubishi and two other suspects in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. The driver of the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of the suspects and the deceased driver have not been released. The Jeffco Transcript will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
