The global sensation “The Art of the Brick” - an exhibition focused solely on original LEGO® Brick sculptures created by Nathan Sawaya - is coming to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science next summer, June 19, 2020-Jan. 24, 2021. This will be the first time the exhibition will be in Denver, Colo.
To engage the community, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is currently hosting a contest for local youth – a design challenge encouraging kids to get creative with their own LEGO® Bricks.
Kids are encouraged to tap into their inner LEGO artist using STEAM concepts by creating and submitting their own LEGO Brick sculptures using the theme of nature and science. Kids should construct their own LEGO Brick masterpiece and submit a photo of it to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science by April 24, 2020. Winners will be selected in different age groups ranging from 3 years old to 18 years old. All entrants are asked to keep their sculptures because all winners’ sculptures will be displayed at the Museum during The Art of the Brick exhibition next summer.
“The Art of the Brick" is a global touring exhibition rated by CNN as one of the world's "Must See Exhibitions." These are the first art exhibitions to focus exclusively on the use of LEGO Bricks as an art medium.
