Letter to the editor: Excited for Mayor Hall

I’m excited to vote for Harriet Hall for Arvada’s Mayor! She believes in responsible development, which means that she wouldn’t use tax dollars to subsidize luxury apartments unless they include some affordable units as well. Although our current mayor has made some effort to incent affordable homes and apartments, I sense his heart isn’t really in it. Harriet however would tackle this issue with all the zeal and determination she has shown in her past leadership experiences. After serving as the CEO and President of the Jefferson Center for Mental Health for 34 years and serving on numerous City of Arvada committees, she is incredibly qualified, smart, and ready for this new challenge. I’m ready for a change and for a mayor who will make strong progress in bringing more affordable places to live to Arvada.
Robin Kupernik,
Arvada
