Letter to the editor: Focus more on issues

The media is presenting the election and the Democratic primaries and caucuses as though they were a horse race. We get poll numbers, scores, demographics, and percentages, but we don’t get issues. Who is talking about issues? How are we supposed to know who to vote for if we don’t hear views on critical issues such as the environment and climate change?
I don’t care how many offices or door knockers a candidate has, I care about his/her opinions and plans.
