Letter to the editor: Harriet Hall for Mayor

Posted

I have worked with Harriet Hall for many years on a variety of issues related to Arvada, from preserving our historic legacy to opposing inappropriate, luxury developments that do not fit the neighborhood. Her decisions are thoughtful and inclusive of many viewpoints.
Only recently did I learn that she was the CEO of Jefferson Mental Health for 34 years. Her immediate response to the Columbine High School shooting has served as a model throughout the nation. At her retirement celebration, she was presented with the highest civilian award possible from the Jefferson County Sheriff. These achievements
reflect her outstanding qualities as a community leader.
Harriet believes in smart development that enhances our lives and neighborhoods — roads that are ready for additional traffic before new homes are built; design that fits-in with the neighborhood; and walkable services like grocery stores. Harriet Hall offers a refreshing choice, with real concern for all of Arvada’s neighborhoods.
Vote for Harriet Hall for mayor. She not only listens — she hears the citizens voice, and will work with the community to establish and achieve mutual goals together.
Nancy Young,
Arvada
