New Columbine plan disgraceful
I find the entire idea of a “new Columbine” to be disgraceful and an insult to the memory of the deceased. This seems to be a cowards’ way out of the situation by attempting to erase the physical reminders of the memory. This would be a significant waste of money in a school system that perpetually claims it needs more funds. Rather than working on the problems that create these perpetrators, we are turning our back on the problem.
Most importantly, what is to prevent some demented soul from trying to create a “new Columbine?” Instead of solving a problem, are we inviting new ones?
