Letter to the editor: Through new eyes

I appreciated so much the letter by Xiao Long, calling out the dangers of political correctness. I have found that most immigrants are much emotionally stronger than, and do not complain about “first world” problems the way so many Americans do. Instead, they are thankful for this wonderful country. Yes, we have many significant problems in the US, but we also continually work for the country’s betterment. We would all benefit if we strove to be as thankful as Xiao. Thank you Xiao for your courage in writing.
