Citizens have the ability to get Narcan (for opiate overdose) without a prescription and carry it around in case of an opiate emergency. As a retired physician I thought this was a great idea. So, I went to my pharmacy. Yes, I can get a prescription for Narcan…for only $140 at Walgreens Pharmacy. This is not something the average person can afford to do, especially someone living in the inner city where this is likely to happen. Once again, another failed government program with no follow through or thought behind it. Hopefully, congress can rectify this situation. Let’s all do a bit of writing to our congress, people.
