A new SCL Health office will soon be under construction at the intersection of W. 91st Place and Candelas Parkway.

“With more than 4,300 new homes currently under construction in Candelas, we recognized the growing need for access to compassionate, high-quality and effective care in this community,” Steve Chyung, senior vice president of SCL Health, said in a press release. “This project represents an important expansion of SCL Health’s network of care.”

The two-story medical office project boasts more than 40,000 square feet, with those behind the project saying their aim is to provide Candelas residents with more convenient access to primary care physicians.

Construction is scheduled to begin later this summer and be completed in the summer of 2021, according to the release.

SCL Health is a nonprofit, faith-based healthcare organization primarily serving Colorado and Montana. The project to bring the organization to the Candelas building is a partnership between Mortenson Development, a U.S.-based developer and Seavest Healthcare Properties, a real estate management investment firm.
