U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Ashley A. Dyer graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Dyer is the daughter of Michael W. Sherland of Lakewood, Colo., wife of Joseph W. Dyer of Arvada, and mother of Paul A. Dyer of Arvada, Colo. She is a 2006 graduate of Colorado State Academy.

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Alexander E. Farrell graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Farrell is the son of Thomas K. Farrell, of Parker, and Jennifer L. Farrell, of Lakewood. He is a 2017 graduate of Hendrickson High School, Pflugerville, Texas.

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Edward G. Kajko graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Kajko earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Beverly A. and Edward C. Kajko, of Arvada, and a 2005 graduate of Wheat Ridge High School. He earned an associate degree in 2006 from Aims Community College, Greeley.

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Philip Mathys graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Mathys is the son of Debra Gander and Erik Mathys and brother of Elena Mathys, of Golden. He is a 2013 graduate of Littleton High School, Littleton.

U.S. Air Force Airman Alicia A. Munoz graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Munoz is the daughter of Alicia E. and step-daughter of Steven W. Valerio, of Lakewood and a 2018 graduate of Bear Creek High School, Lakewood.

U.S. Air Force Airman Daniel Natale graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Natale is the son of Kirk Natalie, of Arvada, and Angela Long, of Evergreen. He is a 2018 graduate of Clear Creek High School, in Clear Creek County.

U.S. Air Force Airman Christopher J. Whalin graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Whalin is the son of Burton Beaty and Melissa Whalin of Sheridan and a 2013 graduate of Bear Creek High School, Lakewood.

School Notes

Bree Denbow, of Arvada, graduated in May from Emerson College with a bachelor’s degree in media arts production. Denbow also was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Emerson College.

Walker Denton, of Golden, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Nazareth College.

Meranda Diaz, of Arvada, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Missouri Valley College. Diaz is a freshman majoring in English.

Emily Fox, of Golden, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Belmont University.

Cyrus Green, of Wheat Ridge, is a Lighthouse Award nominee at Fort Hays State University. Green completed a master’s degree in geosciences (geology). The Lighthouse Award is presented by the university’s alumni association.

Alicia Harris, of Lakewood, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Angelo State University. Harris is majoring in pre-nursing.

Raegen Jackson, of Golden, received the Nicholas Nyaradi Memorial Award from the Bradley University college of liberal arts and sciences. Jackson is a senior at Bradley.

Timothy L. Johnson, of Arvada, graduated in May from Emporia State University with a master of library science degree, with a concentration in archives studies.

Tyler Lewis, of Arvada, was named to the spring 2019 president’s list at Chadron State College.

Hannah Melick, of Golden, graduated in May from Emerson College with a bachelor’s degree in political communication. Melick also was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list.

Cassandra Moosburger, of Arvada, graduated, cum laude, in May from Angelo State University with a bachelor’s degree in security studies, intelligence security studies analysis. Moosburger also was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list.

Emily Mott, of Golden, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Belmont University.

Meagan Marie Nelson, of Arvada, graduated in May from University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a master of business administration degree.

Jacob Rodriguez, of Lakewood, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Bob Jones University. Rodriguez is a freshman majoring in biblical studies.

Kaylyn Schoen, of Lakewood, was named an outstanding performer during the Hastings College music and theater department’s end-of-year celebration.

Krystina Shaffer, of Lakewood, was among the 45 University of Scranton students inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the business honor society. Shaffer is a graduate student pursing a master’s of business administration in healthcare management.

Jonathon Thompson, of Arvada, attended and presented at the 2019 Mathematical Association of America Rocky Mountain section meeting in April in Durango. Thompson, a mathematics major, presented a poster titled, “Defining pi_0 for Graphs.”

Alexander Walsh, of Golden, graduated in May from Whitman College with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Walsh is a graduate of Colorado Academy.

Madison Wolf, of Golden, graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics from Coastal Carolina University.

Taylor Worley, of Arvada, was named to the spring 2019 president’s list at Bob Jones University. Worley is a sophomore majoring in music education.

Lauren Yaffe, of Arvada, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Belmont University.
