A woman who had been missing much of April 5 turned up safe late that afternoon, according to Brighton police.

The investigation continued. Earlier in the day, police were worried that 20-year-oild Rylee Heinz may have been kidnapped. She was seen shortly after 6 a.m. near Platte Valley Medical Center with a 21-year-old man, Orlando Romero. The pair were in a 2008 dark blue Dodger Charger that had no plates.

"At about 4:45 p.m., the victim reached out to a friend, who then contacted our department," said a Facebook post from police. ",Our officers confirmed that Rylee had been located and was safe. The case is still under investigation, and we will provide updates when they are available."

Anyone with information should call Brighton police at 303-655-4780.
