Music festival, art tour in Arvada this weekend

Arvada is calling all art and music lovers to two annual events taking place this weekend.

Starting Sept. 20, various locations in Olde Town will host the Rocky Mountain Archtop Festival, which will consist of exhibitions, musical performances, workshops and other events for guitar-lovers. The festival will run through Sept. 22.

All-access tickets cost $59. Tickets for the exhibition and performances only cost $29.

Meanwhile, the 18th annual Arvada Art Studio Tour runs Sept. 21 and 22 from noon to five p.m. each day. The tour includes more than 20 local art studios, with some locations hosting workshops, demos or other special events.

A map of tour locations and list of artists is posted at alchemicaleye.com/AASTweb. Residents can also pick up a tour brochure at the Arvada Visitors Center, 7305 Grandview Ave., or the Alchemical Eye Studio, 6585 W. 62nd Place.
