As Ralston Valley High School’s class of 2019 held its graduation ceremony on May 17, the students celebrated four completed years of high school and the years ahead of them.

“No matter how you define success, never stop working toward it,” faculty speaker Barb Schrader told graduates during the ceremony at the CU Events Center.

Among the students’ celebrated achievements was more than $10 million in college scholarships awarded to 102 of the class’s students.

In her address to the class, senior class president Madelaine Hipp shared quotes she’d received from staff members. In preparation for her speech, Hipp asked Ralston Valley staff how they would describe the class of 2019.

“Our teachers saw us as bold and determined,” she said, “and finally, the word that describes us best is family.”
