Steakhouse supporting barbecue restaurant’s employees after fire

Posted

Following a fire that closed Bennett’s Bar-B-Que, another restaurant has stepped up to help the employees who are now out of work over the holidays.

A kitchen fire in the early morning hours of Dec. 17 caused Bennett’s, 7490 W. 52nd Ave., to close its door until further notice, leaving employees without jobs.

To help Bennett’s employees, Lone Star Steakhouse, 7450 W. 52nd Ave., located in the same shopping center as Bennett’s is donating 15 percent of their sales from Dec. 27 - 30 to the employees of Bennett’s.

The Arvada Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Benefit for Bennett’s Bar-B-Que kickoff event 3 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Lone Star. Donations from customers are also being accepted in addition to the 15 percent of sales that will be donated.

For more information about how to donate or participate, call the Chamber of Commerce at 303-424-0313.
