Tea celebrates seniors 90 and older

In its 16th year, the Senior High Tea was a celebration of women and men in the Arvada community who are age 90 and older.

More than 70 seniors, ages 90 to 100, gathered March 9 at the Apex Community Recreation Center with their guests for the annual event.

“It’s reaching a population that is forgotten, “said Brenda Berg, special events coordinator for the city of Arvada. “It’s about them. Getting them out, letting them have fun and honoring them.”
